1969 – 1972, Martin H. Samuel (drummer/percussionist) and Terry Shea (rhythm guitarist/vocalist) played in the London-based pop group Heatwave... the original band by that name, not the '75 funk/disco group who 'borrowed' their good name.
2013, Martin and Terry were reunited in the U.S.A. and, in 2014, they co-wrote their first song ... 'Sailin' Away'.

Martin wrote the lyric based on a true tale...
He does long-distance blue-water sailboat deliveries and had a Hawaiian wife with whom he lived in New York.
In the middle of winter, he went surfing in Hawaii and, while there, put a green coconut in the post to his now ex-wife with a label stapled to it, addressed to her at her workplace, Lancome, 5th Ave., Manhattan.
She didn't appreciate the thought... said she'd never been so humiliated in all her life.

15th June 2020, Surf 97.3 FM radio, Flagler Beach, Florida, put 'Sailin' Away' into rotation.
